Collaboration with So Ho Chi, Lawrence Ting

The Academy for Performing Arts is still part of the harbour 50 years ago. In the late 1960s, the government started a series reclamation, cultivating precious land while erasing the original coastline. Similar events happen in the past 50 years, producing land for development, while erasing much of the traces of the past.
Memory and space are connected. When we approach a space where we had memories, we can experience feelings of the past, we could feel the presence of our trace. When the space has been altered drastically, those traces shall only exist in our minds, same as those who have passed away.
We believed that these traces of the past, our past, our ancestors’ past, are what moulds this city, which makes us what and who we are. However, it seemed tough battles must be fought to defend our beliefs.
On second thought, nobody cared about memories.
